Give an agent a standing job against your media library

On a cron you set, an agent checks your media library for new or unindexed assets, transcodes what needs it, updates the index, and reports what it did. No dashboard clicks, no manual runs.

What this is, honestly: the agent's per-run report is its own run log, retrieved with get-agent-task-logs, not a separate structured API. A per-run token cost and wall-clock time have not been measured yet on a live cron; that is a named gap, not an invented figure. And this composes the same index-and-query building block as the Media Asset Indexing stack, it does not replace it: the addition here is the schedule.

Building Blocks

Agent Task

The scheduled job itself: a cron-driven Claude or Codex run with a standing prompt

TAMS Gateway

Indexes each segment the agent finds so it can be looked up later

CouchDB

Holds the segment index the agent writes to and reads from

Minio

S3-compatible storage for the media library itself

The machine-readable descriptor for this stack is served as JSON, so an agent can select it without parsing this page. It names the orchestration layer (Agent Tasks, not a catalog serviceId), the service chain it drives, the required config fields, the plan gating, and what is and is not yet measured.
